The Forming Process of 比 Structure and the Related Grammar Evolution Mechanism

In the forming process of structure from 比N1于N2 to N1比N2W in Chinese history, four changes have been taken place: 1)the W part has been augmented behind the 比N1于N2 structure; 2)the meaning of 比 has changed; 3)the N1 part has been moved to front of 比 from behind; 4) 之 and 于 in embryonic 比 structure have been lost afterwards. The forming process of 比 structure and the abstracted course of 比′ meaning reflect a series of grammar evolution mechanism.
