Wavelet library construction for signal denoising

A denoising method using wavelet library was proposed. Key to this method was to construct a smooth orthonormal wavelet library.A new method for constructing smooth orthonormal wavelet library was presented based on the following conditions: 1) regularity,i.e.,the wavelets have sufficient regularity;2) non-redundancy,i.e.,there should be no duplicates among the library wavelets;3) completeness,i.e.,the library should be representative of the whole wavelet space.The experiment results show that when the library is used in signal denoising,the wavelet library performs better than any of the single wavelets.
