Dominating security threats in MANET and their corresponding solutions
Meng Wu · Journal of China Institute of Communications · 2005
Since routing was a vital part of MANET and its security still faced lots of threats, six kinds of different security threats in MANET routing based on the impact on the routing layer or other different aspect of the network were drawn out. These security problems were blackhole, denial of service (DoS), routing table overflow, impersonation, power consumption and information disclosure. The mechanism of each problem was analyzed in detail and its threat to security was concluded. After analyzing and comparing state of the art of different solutions based on their performance, the best solution to each problem is proposed.
