An Algorithm of Timing-error Estimation of QAM Signals

The timing-error estimation based on waveform detection can be used in PSK/QAM. The algorithm doesn't need decision point and has lower complexity. Under the condition of carrier phase changing slowly, its performance is independent with carrier state, so symbol timing-recovery doesn't care the state of carrier synchronization, and can be realized before carrier synchronization.
