Hilbert-Huang transform and its applications in power system

HHT(Hilbert-Huang Transform) and the research on its end effect,mode mixing and sifting termination criterion are reviewed and the performance of HHT is discussed.Its present applications in power system are analyzed in detail,such as device fault detection and diagnosis,power system oscillations analysis,power quality analysis and load forecasting,and its future applications in power system are prospected.It is suggested that,the disadvantages of HHT can be solved by combining it with other methods,and according to the characteristics of power system,HHT will be more effectively applied in power system.
