Forecasting the tunnel roof stability in the super large span excavation based on the mutation theory

The super large span excavation of the Yingpan road XiangJiang underwater tunnel is a complicated problem.This paper predicts the possibility of the roof collapse on the basis of the mutation theory.Combined with the practical cases,the good results have been achieved.The prediction result shows that the collapse is likely to happen if the surrounding rocks are bare rocks.In that situation,the advanced care and temporary care are needed to control the excavation 's distance,order and the two line followes,as well as strengthening the monitoring quantity.Only in this way,can the construction security be assured.
