Application of MPLS VPN in networking services of major clients

Firstly, based on current trends in network development and networking needs of major clients, the advantages of MPLS VPN technology over traditional ATM/SDH are analyzed. Secondly, the paper puts forward several schemes that the ISP provides networking service to major clients in IP network with MPLS VPN and uses QoS, link protection technology to improve quality and reliability of the service. There are 2 kinds of schemes: single MPLS VPN and mixed MPLS VPN. A single MPLS VPN is divided into three layers of MPLS VPN (BGP/MPLS VPN) and two layers of MPLS VPN (VLL, VPLS), mixed MPLS VPN can be divided into BGP/MPLS VPN end VLL, VPLS VLL and VLL and VLL butt end. And then, the paper verifies it's feasibility through laboratory tests. At last, it gives the applicative conditions of carrying networking services of major clients by using MPLS VPN technology.
