Design of Software Framework for Digital Nuclear Instruments Based on PXI Platform

In the paper,a new software framework structure based on PXI platform is designed,which can be applied to digital nuclear instrumentation systems. The framework has a hierarchical structure. Each layer is relatively independent of the others,and the data is transferred via optimized interfaces. The hardware modules and software digital processing modules are designed as module libraries in the framework,which could be easily implemented in LabView. The device driver has been optimized in order to guarantee the performance of data transmission and the ability of heterogeneous hardware running together. Results of the test show that systems based on this framework can obtain good data transferring performance,and have advantages of reusability,reliability and availability.
