Design and Implementation of Electronic Information Resources Database

With the development of the network, there are more and more kinds of electronic information resources (EIR). Different EIR has different kind of organization and different strategy of query. To solve the inconvenience caused by such problems, put forward the standardization of EIR. In this method, EIR are described by MARC. Based on the standardization of the EIR, design the EIR database, which provides the user with the same strategy of query. This paper depicts the design principles and the architecture of EIR database, discusses the key problems confronted in the implementation of the system, and prompts the resolutions.
