A Design of Pressure Sensing Keyboard for Keystroke Biometrics

A pressure sensing keyboard designed for keystroke biometrics system is proposed in this paper.The device is designed to measure the finger-ap-plied pressure during typing and the collected pressure data is used in biometrics recognition.In this device,a pressure sensing component is implemented by us-ing strain gage.This strain-gage-based pressure sensor is applied to transform pressure into electric signal.After that,an interface circuit is designed to process the electric signal and transmit it to PC.A software system is also designed to collect data in the following.Data collected using the proposed system shows that the device has the advantages of high accuracy and high speed.
