On Application of Schema Theory to College English Reading Teaching

Based on the schema theory,this paper tries to apply linguistic schema,content schema and formal schema to college English reading teaching,which means to cultivate students' ability to combine their background schemata with reading materials,so as to improve their English reading proficiency and speed.
