Large-scale Hospital's VLAN Division Without Operation Suspended

Objective To implement VLAN division under the condition of not interrupting hospital's operation.Methods VLAN division was divided into several steps,such as the invocation of routing protocol on the core switch,setting of the gateway and the establishment of DNS server and WINS server.Results VLAN division was performed without the hospital's operation suspended.Conclusion VLAN division with the principles of reasonable planning and step-by-step implementation meets the need of network management in some special industries like large medical institutions not advisable to stop businesses of such institutions.The network rebuilding under restricted conditions is also explored.
