Real-time measurement of GPS technology can provide the survey point three-dimensional coordinates in centimeter-level,it has characters such as fast speed and high accuracy, however, the scopes of application are limited by the environment like weather, geographical conditions and the satellite operating.Total Station is a highly automated measuring instruments in the field surveying with high accuracy and wide application, but it is restricted by the factors like sighting conditions and measuring distances and so on.This paper discussed the combination between them according to that regional distribution, wide area and intensive protection forest weaken the satellite signals in the Tangshan coal mine collapse area,to explore measurement practices so that these two instruments in the actual measurement are able to improve efficiency in mapping, reduce outside interference, reduce the labor intensity of workers and guarantee point accuracy, and put forward mutual detection methods between RTK and Total station in respond to Suibu point accuracy issues. On this basis, the study will integrate the satellite receiver with Total Station to develop the low-cost intelligent devices integrated with physical structure and data processing,to solve the bottleneck of technical problems like low targeting efficiency, low accuracy, poor reliability and multi-factor interference in the special circumstances,to realize functions with high precision, low cost,real-time location and precise monitoring with the special environment.
