Locating of Mathematic Formula Characters in the Printed -Chinese Documents

The locating techniques of mathematic characters are one of the important problems for improving the rate of recognition of the whole printed-Chinese documents.This paper presents a new locating method,which combines the features of different projection for different characters with the idea of Chinese character recognition refuse formulas.Experimental results show that the accuracy and time of locating can all be improved.
