The Revelation of the Theory of Social Responsibility on the Editing Work of Sci-tech Journals

The theory of social responsibility is the most representative theory of journalism in the West,which is of certain directive significance to the editing work of sci-tech journals.The social responsibilities of the editors of sci-tech journals include adhering to correct guidance of public opinions,safeguarding the scientificalness of sci-tech papers,carrying forward the scientific spirit of innovation,sincerely serving the reader and protecting intellectual property.This paper comes up with the basic approaches to realize sci-tech journals′ editors′ social responsibilities in terms of such aspects as enhancing editors′ professional ethics,awareness of science and innovation,sense of responsibility of information dissemination,and coordination of social and economic benefits.
