A Study on RPR's Fairness Algorithm Based on Flow

Resilient Packet Ring(RPR) is a metropolitan area network technology for data transfer based on ring configuration and is standardized as IEEE 802.17.In the fields of local fairness,spatial reuse and bandwidth utilization RPR has a comparatively high superiority.And fairness algorithm is very important for RPR.However,the current fairness protocol and its adaptions based on nodes could not give full play to the superiority of RPR.Thus the corresponding fairness solution based on flows is proposed,which could give full play to the superiority of RPR advantages of RPR.The simulation results have proved the theoretic analysis.
