An IEEE 1149.1-Compliant Retargetable On-chip Debugging Method

This paper describes an IEEE 1149.1-compliant retargetable on-chip debugging method.The structure,principle,and implementation of the embedded debug module,as well as the cost to the processor,are analyzed in detail.The module can be integrated into various microprocessor cores to implement debugging with a little modification on the RTL level.
