On Virtualization of Remote Sensing Products Under Environment of Geo-spatial Grid

A new concept of remote sensing products virtualization which is based on the grid technology,Web-oriented service technology,etc.is proposed,and a detailed discussion on its definition,related techniques,its properties and merits is given.It is believed that the virtualization of remote sensing products under the environment of geo-spatial grid should be built upon the loosely-coupled computing scheme and needs resort to service-oriented architecture.Furthermore,a compatible software engineering method,multi-agent based approach,is adopted in order of completing a series of key steps involved in the grid computing environment,namely,service distributing,consulting,resource managing,service controlling and service life-cycle controlling.It is pointed out that the next generation of remote sensing data processing system should be the one that can implement the remote sensing product virtualization concept.
