Design and development of information system for large reservoir resettlement plan and management based on GIS and achievements are introduced.The set up method of various database and their application are detailed,such as spatial superposition analysis,statistic analysis,three dimension analysis etc.The system realized the functions of basic map operation,inundation area computation,information inquiry and statistics,resettlement plan analysis,three dimensional spatial analysis etc.The successful development of the system not only changed the traditional work method for reservoir resettlement plan and management,but also supplied a scientific,high effective tool for professional resettlement technician and managerial personnel.Reservoir resettlement information system realized effective integration of multi-advanced technologies and professional application in resettlement,supplies a auxiliary platform for resettlement,upgrades scientific and accurate level of decision-making for resettlement plan and management,and has a broad development prospects.
