Experiment of Temperature Rise and Simulation of the Temperature Field of Grounding Resistor

According to the characteristic of grounding resistor,the through-flow experiment of various alloy grounding resistor that simulates the earth fault was done.Meanwhile,the best alloy material was chosen.Based on the thermal characteristic of grounding resistor,the thermal analytical simulation model was established in simulating the earth fault.Simulation results have shown that the tiptop temperature in the middle position is 1.53 times of the temperature in the brim position of grounding resistor in the condition of earth fault.The simulation results of temperature field have an important value for the choice of material and the optimization of structure of the grounding resistor.
