Linguistic Decategorization: An Integral Part of Linguistic Categorization written by Liu Zheng-guang,is an original work on linguistic decategorization theories, which makes a significant contribution to the cognitive linguistics. It explores the linguistic decategorization in two parts: the first is about the basic theories, the features and the mechanism of the linguistic decategorization, and the second is an empirical study on word and syntax categories, mainly about the decategorization of nouns, verbs and some functional phrases. The decategorization is a long-ignored but also an indispensable part of the categorization, and naturally there is still a lot for discussion.
