Analysis and simulation to push scheme and pull scheme

This paper analyzes the push and the pull scheduling schemes, which are the most widely tech- nologies in current high performance routers with Multi-Plane Multi-Stage switch fabric. Simulation results on the comparison of these two schemes show that both of the two schemes have its own advantages and dis- advantages. Therefore, when deciding which one should be chosen for practical applications, situations of real environment must be taken into consideration.
