The Research of Anisotropic Diffusion

Anisotropic diffusion is selective smoothing process.In the even region this smoothing process is not restricted,but across boundary region,it is restricted.So the noises are smoothed while the characters of image boundary are preserved.bilateral filtering not only can obtain effect of filtering,but also can preserve the high frequency details of images.This filtering is nonlinear,non-iterative,local and simple filter.It is representation of nonlinear digital image filter.In the paper,the relations between anisotropic diffusion and bilateral filtering is analyzed,using the robust statistics methods,which extends relationship between nonlinear digital image filter and nonlinear diffusion.
