How to Build Multidimensional Data Model Basing on Relational DB

This paper firstly compares ROLAP(OLAP based on relational database) and MOLAP(OLAP based on Multidlinensional database), and then focus on the data storage mode of ROLAP.We decompose the dimension table of star mode into hierarchical, normalized and small dimension tables so that it would be easy to drill down and roll up which is generally called data mining.
