The functional designing of a Reverse Engineering Software Based on Industrial CT

This article introduces the functional designing of a practical Reverse Engineering software based on Industrial CT slice image data. This software realizes the conversion from three dimensional slice data of a workpiece to the shape maker with STL interface and to CAD drawing re-editing by Using the algorithm and technology of image and graphic processing, such as edge detecting, threshold segment, edge thinning, vectorization and format changing and so on. The function designed is powerful and is prone to use.
