Comparative Research On the Tunes of Music Temperament Between China and Japan

From the viewpoint of music temperament,the writer analyzed the music temperament system used by gagaku as well as its basic patterns of six tunes existent in Japan nowadays.He proposed some different opinions against the Japanese scholar's view that the pitches of six tunes had some kind of origin relations to the relative tunes in China.
