As the development of computer technology,the information technology which represented by the network communication with the characteristics of high speed,large capacity and non-national boundaries has gave a big change for various industries in model society.And that is also a big change for international surveying and mapping industry in geographical information comprehensive service.At the point of view of hydrographic surveying and charting development in information era,the informative hydrographic surveying and charting's future development and existing problems of it will be discussed in this paper.
