Compilation of budget and budget estimate of a water resources and hydropower project must comply with the State prescribed compilation method and stationary format. By use of Excel (electronic form) with computer, the compilation method for budget and budget estimate of a project can be maintained in a required form. The method based on Excel has the following advantages: the computation process is of complete man_machine interaction and dialogue process; computation on the stage; convenient in operation; conveniently to modify; higher in transparency. This method not only overcomes the traditional manual method's shortcomings, such as lower in computation speed, lower in efficiency, mistakes occur easily, in conveniently to modify, etc.; but also overcomes the special purpose software's defect of computation in background. Therefore, it is an effective method for quickly compiling budget and budget estimate of water resources and hydropower projects.
