Design of the Analog-interphone Transport System Over Ethernet

The design scheme how generally-used analog interphone transport system upgrades to networked digital system over Ethernet is introduced. The system is mainly composed of ADPCM encoder/decoder and embeded system card based on ARM7 processor. In which ADPCM is responsible for the audio signal's encoding/decoding and processing, and the latter is responsible for IP packing and unpacking. Several key problems on embeded Ethernet system are also discussed.
