A Multi-attribute Assessment Method for Synthetic Effectiveness of Fighters
Xiaowei Tan · Fire Control and Command Control · 2009
Based on multi-attribute decision-making theory,a multi-attribute assessment framework for synthetic effectiveness of fighters is presented. The attribute set used in effectiveness assessment comprises seven factors,i.e.,aircraft maneuverability, geometric perfection level, structural perfection level, endurable flight characteristics, technological characteristics in operation and support stage, capabilities of weapon and fire control as well as avionics systems, and life cycle cost. The TOPSIS method is adopted to assess the synthetic effectiveness, which can evade the problem of synthesizing various assessment parameters into a single effectiveness measure. The weights of different attributes are determined by using Minimal Information Trade-off Assessment(MITA) method. Finally, the synthetic effectiveness of F-15C,F-16A and F-18A fighters are assessed and compared.
