Using Height Diffefence Gained in Leveling in Route Survey to Fit Height with GPS

Wan Chaogan · Standardization of Surveying and Mapping · 2005

This paper presents the approaches used to fit height with GPS by using height differences gained in leveling and to calculate the normal heights of GPS points. It concludes from sample calculations and analysis that, the accuracy gained in height fitting with GPS can meet the needs of both engineering survey and mapping projects provided that it is performed wim the following as its basis: height differences were surveyed in a few sections dispersed over a well known linear GPS network with less benchmarks; and the height differences gained in leveling and a few of well known benchmarks are used as the initial numerical data.
