A Contrastive Study on the Chinese Construction of "一+ Quantifier+ VP" and "VP +一+ Quantifier"

This paper describes the differences of two constructions in detail and explores the contrastive meanings and the causes of the phenomenon from the perspective of cognitive grammar.一 + Quantifier+ and VP + 一 + Quantifier are two common sentence structures in spoken Chinese.While the former pattern belongs to a subjective word order with a fictitious quantity less in the structure of 一+ Quantifier,the latter one only expresses the less of the factual quantity in a objective word order;while the former one is a set of contrastive structures showing a prominent result by a relatively less quantity,the latter is an objective description of actions.And this leads to the differences in their structures and meanings.
