The performance analysis of the reservation slotted ALOHA with multi-code protocol

Qinyu Zhang · Journal of China Institute of Communications · 2001

The performance of the protocol of reservation slotted ALOHA with multi-code is considered. It is a frame-based protocol with multi-code transmissions in a slot. A discrete-time, discrete-state Markov chain is used to evaluate the up link performance of the voice packet throughput and data packet transmission delay in a cell. To solve the collision problem two access permission control schemes are proposed. The better system per- formance can be achieved with access permission control methods according to offered traffic.
