Discussion of Functions of Information Research in Scientific and Technical Innovations

The current characteristics of information research were described in this paper. Based on these major features, the problem how to carry out information research in RD organs was further discussed in order to develop functions of vanguard, eye-and-ear and path-breaker to the full in the course of scientific and technical innovations. The strong motivation of information research in overall scientific productions was emphasized. It was also put forward that information research should be needed as the powerful backing in scientific and technical innovations.
