Design and experimental analysis of thesaurus graph

The Thesaurus Graph,a synonym learning tool for decentralized learning based on the lexical database WordNet is designed.The tool not only gives users the decentralized information about the search word and its synonyms,but also shows collocations as the links between words,massive examples obtained from an internet search engine are provided.The thesaurus graph is helpful for English learners,especially,for those intermediate and advanced level learners to understand similarities and differences between synonyms and to find the adequate words.Experiments show that the proposed tool is effective in improving students' vocabulary learning efficiency.
