DIGMAP" GIS softwave and its application

The current trends of development are examined in GIS, including the application of GIS in large scale projects, its use in the general public domain, the increasing sophistication of GIS software, and the increasing scale of GIS software. On this basis the objective demands for and uses of DIGMAP are explained, its functions and main features introduced. Finally,the application of DIGMAP in ecological and environmental database of Shannxi Province is described.
