Analysis of Web Services Performance and Research on Its Optimization

Web services is a kind of mainstream in heterogeneous network environment of distributed application.Due to XML-based format data transfer,Web service has advantages with its Cross-Platform,loosely-coupled and good operation,but it also brings performance issue.Web services performance is one of the key in deciding whether it can be more widely used to further or not.This paper analyzes the performance of Web services,focus on the additional performance overhead issues of Web services,illustrates how to use caching technology,SOAP compression technology and asynchronous calls strategy to optimize Web service performance,with example in.NET platform.
