Simulation of the FS-1016 speech coding algorithm

The FS-1 016 CELP is a typical low bit rate speech coding standard and has been applied in various communication,such as secure telephoning.In this paper,the FS-1 016 CELP speech coding algorithm is simply introduced firstly and simulated under MATLAB 7.0 and Borland C++ Builder 6 with forward two frames of recorded men speech data.The simulation results indicate that with the algorithm,better synthetic speech can be obtained under lower bit rates.
