A Review of Chinese Reduplicated Adverb Research

Reduplicated adverb is a very important class of Chinese reduplication.Since 1980's,many linguists have carried on an investigation into such aspects as whether there is reduplicated adverbs in Chinese,reduplicated adverb's range,reduplicated adverb's types,similarities and differences of primary form and reduplicated form,reduplicated adverbs of specific historical period,dialectical reduplicated adverbs,motivation of reduplicated adverbs,and so on,and they have yielded substantial results.At the same time,there are some obvious shortcomings which may imply the direction for further investigation.
