A measurement method based on parallel motion of a camera that can be used to measure the geometric parameters of the circle is presented.A camera is controlled to translate parallel along the coordinate axis to obtain imagines, then the edge information of the projective ellipse is detected by image processing technology.Based on epipolar constraint, the correspondence of edge points of the ellipse are obtained and the coordinates of the edge in the 3D are measured by projection. The diameter, center position and circularity error of the circle can be obtained by using spatial circle fitting with the circle edge. And the experiment shows that the method can measure the geometric parameters of a spatial circle.
