Extreme Programming (XP) is the most popular Agile Software Development (ASD) methodology currently in use. This thesis explores the current research on XP theory and provides thoughts on XP in actual project application. This thesis will specifically elaborate on the principles and the steps under which the XP imple- mentation process should be observed, and will also evaluate the XP method against actual project effects and results to produce a tentative conclusion on the practicality of XP as a software development methodology.
