Color image filtering algorithm based on impulse noise detection of rank-ordered pixels difference

The paper proposes an algorithm that removes the impulse noise in a color image by improved adaptive vector medi- an filtering on the basis of the impulse noise detection result.Experimental results shows that the algorithm can significantly reduce the quantity of noise pixels which do not be examined during the impulse noise detection,and can effectively remove the impulse noise of color images.Besides,the algorithm ensure the original image color and the information on the edge of the image after ill- tering.
