Design and Implementation of a Data Warehouse Modeling Tool

This paper introduces a data warehouse modeling tool DWdesign, describes the basic structure of DWdesign, and studies some key techniques used in it. These key techniques involve intermediate semantic layer, user-defined data type, XML, and standard SQL support. The tool of DWdesign has been put in trial on some enterprises’ data sets.
