Synchronization Technologies Adaptive to Image Transmission Data Link of UAVs

The technologies described in this article are applicable for UAV image transmission system in down data link.The design of the system is based on software radio concept,which belongs to unexpected communications.A Pi/4-QPSK modulated fully-digital receiver was used for the system.The receiver used Farrow interpolation filter,Gardner timing error algorithm to achieve bit synchronization,and Costas phase-locked loop technology to achieve carrier synchronization.The two kinds of technology were studied with the Matlab simulation and analysis.Simulation results showed the feasibility and superiority of this method,which is also easy to be implemented in hardware.
