Evolution of Zither and Features of Different Schools

Zither is a unique and ancient musical instrument of Chinese people, and its history can date back to Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods. Zither has been widely used in folk songs and dramas, and has been influenced by other instruments in many districts. In this way, different schools have been formed, such as Shan'xi School,He'nan School, and Shandong School. Since modern times, many other schools have emerged, such as Mongolian School,North Korean School, Chaozhou School, Hakkaness School, Fujian School and Zhejiang School.
