This paper is intended to discuss in detail the Improved Multi Band Excitation (IMBE) speech coding algorithm.In speech analysis the emphasis is on the voiced and unvoiced judgement method of an adaptive threshold while in parameter coding the emphasis is on the spectrum parameter coding method.The experiment result is presented at the end of the paper.
