Study on TCP Congestion Control of Supporting Transfer Fairness in the Internet
Ke Zhang · Mini-micro Systems · 2004
In theory, the arithmetic of AIMD make congestion window's size converges to a perfect state, and different nodes can fairly share bandwidth. But experiments and analyses verified that TCPs can not share connection in the different route. This paper verified this unfairness through a experiment, and eliminated the unfairness through a arithmetic. The main thinking of this arithmetic is to find a common update time for all TCP connections ,then update their congestion windows with same velocity. So the unfairness was eliminated.
