The Effect of the Phase-plugs on the Horn Loudspearker Characteristics

Three phase-plugs with different structure are designed.Based on the measurements of the loudspeakers with designed phase-plugs,it is found that the frequency range of one of the phase-plugs can reach 200~9 000 Hz.Compared to the other three kinds of structures,this phase-plug has wider frequency range,flatter frequency response curve,less harmonic distortion,and higher sensitivity.And the general sound quality of this phase-plug is obviously better than the others.
