Fast Calculation of Modulus of 16 Bit Fix-point Complex Number Based on FPGA

Calculating the modulus of complex numbers is inevitable in modern digital signal processing.In this paper,the calculations are decreased efficiently and the result has the same precision in calculation by optimizing the initial number of Newton method and design of divider.This method has been used in radar systems.
