Software errors and the concomitant potential for exploitable vulnerabilities remain a pervasive problem.Self-healing intrusion prevention system is a reactive one for handling a wide variety of application software failures, ranging from remotely exploitable vul-nerabilities to more mundane bugs that cause abnormal program termination on vulnerable server. The emphasis of this paper is employing software including fault tolerance and self-healing functions that can protect applications against a recurring fault before a more finished patch is applied to implement intrusion prevention.
